The Road Going Home

by Rob Angeles on January 26, 2010

Malaya is a barangay within Pililla, Rizal and is my home . What I love about this place is that it’s peaceful and very near nature. To my north is Mt. Sembrano and to my south is Laguna de Bay. If you love nature photography, you won’t run out of subjects here. Rizal is known for having lots of scenic road and the road home is one of them.

I was on my way home from Antipolo when I took these 3 picture. I rained a little thus, the rainbow and as I finished taking a picture of it, a beautiful composition from Laguna de Bay.

First Photo When I Got Home

by Rob Angeles on January 21, 2010

I enjoyed lessons I learned when I was still studying fundamentals of photography and the field trips where awesome. But I think the Philippines has a lot of things to offer when it comes to looking for subjects. This was he first image I took the day after I arrived from the US. Just took out my new camera, did the basic settings and BOOM!

Sunset from the road going to Mabitac. A zigzag road from Pililla, Rizal going to Laguna. The scenic road itself is a treasure chest of lovely angles. Buzz me if you want to visit the place and I can assist you with the directions.

Starlight Express

by Rob Angeles on January 21, 2010

Starlight Express. I was spending some quality time with my family and notice that the sky is so clear and stars were staring at us. I wanted to make small dipper clearer but wasn’t able to using manual focus. I never attempted this before and used the BULB settings of my old DSLR. I think I opened the shutter for 60 seconds.

I’ll try doing it again since it was so windy. And I will agree with that commercial saying a 5 star hotel is no match for a million.
