Daranak Falls

by Rob Angeles on January 19, 2010

Last January 16, 2010, I visited Daranak Falls in Tanay, Rizal to test my Nikon D5000. If you’re not familiar with the place, this is the location where GMA7 shoot Encantadia or whatever they call that fantasy tele-serye. There are actually 2 falls in Daranak and the other one is Batlag Falls. Never had the chance to get in Batlag since they were asking Php3,000 (around $65) to take pictures.

Even if you came in from Metro Manila, it wouldn’t take you more than three hours to get there, give or take. One of the closest natural bathing grounds near the Metro, Daranak falls is considered to be one of the most beautiful natural formations in the country, protected by government laws and maintained by Tanay’s local government.

  • pasama sa susunod na shoot! hehehehehee
  • woooo di nga around P 3k in Batlag what about in Daranak? I thought you only have to pay the entrance fee? I was there last year and saw some group of photographer but I did not know they have to pay for pictures
  • Napakati nga ulo ko eh. If you want to reserve the entire place, tumataginting na 18K so, umurong na lang ako LOL! Maybe next time.
